Competitive Programs
National Stream Competitive Programs
The National Stream Program focuses on the pursuit of excellence. Athletes follow the Canada Artistic Swimming Age Group System and FINA rules. Athletes train to compete in figures and routines including team, duet, solo, combo and highlight routines.
Athletes compete in provincial level competitions. These athletes must qualify from Manitoba to attend the National Qualifier. Athletes that qualify from there may compete at Canada Artistic Swimming’s National Championships.
In addition to Nationals, the National Stream athletes may also compete Canada Games. Artisitic Swimming will be a part of the 2025 Canada Summer Games.
Provincial Stream Competitive Programs
Provincial Stream athletes train and compete at the provincial level. They register and compete following the age groups as approved by Manitoba Artistic Swimming. Athletes can compete in figure and routine events. These athletes may also have the opportunity to compete inter-provincially at the Canadian Prairie Championships.
Masters Competitive Programs
Masters artistic swimming is open to athletes 19 years of age or older. Competitive Masters swimmers participate for fun and camaraderie, but they also compete. Masters have the opportunity to compete at Manitoba Provincial Competitions, Masters Nationals and FINA World Masters. Masters programs are in line with Long Term Athlete Development’s Sport for Life stage.
